This Coliform Count Plate (CC) is a ready-to-use pre-formulated culture medium incorporating standard nutritive basal medium, cold-water-soluble gelling agent, and chromogenic indicator. After adding the sample solution and incubating at an appropriate temperature, viable Coliform proliferate and metabolize, interacting with the integrated chromogenic indicator in the plate. This biochemical reaction produces distinctly pigmented target colonies: Coliforms develop red colonies with entrapped gas inclusions. This product is intended for quantitative enumeration of Coliform present in food, food materials, and production environmental samples.
